And in the Bavarian region of Upper Franconia, Frauendorf is a borough of Bad Staffelstein that dates back to 1070.

The ruins of Frauenstein Castle, dating back to 1272, are located on the crest of the Eastern Ore Mountains near the town of Frauenstein in Saxony.
