The surname Scippa was first found in Naples, (Italian: Napoli, Latin: Neapolis) former capital of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies in southern Italy; it is the chief city of the province of Naples. It shares with Istanbul the claim to be the most beautiful city in Europe. Naples has 237 Churches and 57 Chapels. The National Museum and other galleries contain riches in art and artifacts. In those ancient times only persons of rank, the podesta, clergy, city officials, army officers, artists, landowners were entered into the records.

Talking a moment to explore the various variants of the family, we found Scipi, is very form from San Benedetto del Tronto in the Piceno area; Scipio is specific to Valentano in the Viterbo area; Scipione is specific to the Lazio area, especially Formia in the Latin area and the Abruzzo area, L'Aquila, Pescara, Nocciano and Abbateggio in the Pescara and Chieti areas; and Scipioni is more widespread and is significantly present in the Marche, in particular in the Piceno area, in Abruzzo, in particular in the Teramo area and in the L'Aquila area and in Lazio.
